Body image?

I do not see myself as fat, but I am very out of shape. I have stretch marks that I really don't like, and I know if I get into a better physical condition I will feel better all around.
I currently weigh somewhere in the vicinity of 205 pounds. I would like to weigh 175 by my birthday. Really, weight isn't all that important factor. It is all about feeling good and feeling comfortable with yourself. Whereas I don't feel extremely UNcomfortable, I could certainly feel alot better. So, I'm setting that as a goal.

Things I need to do:
  • Get myself on a healthy diet.
        *It's really not that hard. I am already a vegetarian, now I just need to start monitoring
          what I am eating to a greater degree. Like anything, it will take some getting used to but
          will be worth it in the long run.
  • Get on and stay on an exercise regimen that is geared toward weight loss.
        *A couple weeks ago I started going down to the gym and running a bit
          and doing some weight training. I did that for a few days and let it slide.
          I am getting back on it and am going to make a concious effort to stick to it.
  • Keep in mind why I am doing this.
     * First and foremost, I want to get in shape because I know it will make me feel better.
        It is also something productive to do with my time. I've noticed (as have others) that
        I don't always make the best of my time, and this is a step in the right direction.
So, that is the plan. I will post on here semi-regularly updates on how my physical fitness is coming along.
I think blogging about it will be a good way to stay on course, as well. I love to write, and when I have something positive to write that will give me an extra boost and initiative to keep going.

Have you been to the Rec Center yet? Hopefully you can find the time to fit it into your busy schedule.
