Just a post.

I'm sitting in the student union at ISU. I am about to go and write a short synopsis of Roland Barthes' thesis in his essay "Toys" for my English 108 composition class. I read the essay while sitting right here:

Tree Campus USA. Nice. Anyway, I read the essay and now need to write about it. And I want to write about it. It was really a probing essay and the first substantial thing I've read for a college course in which to analyze. It talks about our society and how the toys of children reflect the state of society itself. Barthes basically says that in toys we are creating our world in miniature, for better or worse. It makes some great points about the state of our civilization while masking these sentiments with well thought out allegory.

I just wanted to tell you all about my appreciation for this essay.
That's all for now.

Except no. It isn't. Right as I was about to post this a girl came up to me carrying a box and asked if I had school planner for the year. No, I did not. Now I do. That made me happy :)

This time it's the end...give it a second...okay.
Later!
