This was just a facebook message to meine beste Freundin. But the reply I got back was "I like this as poetry actuallly :)"
And I thought about it. I read it over. And it is a little poetic. And I like it.
So here it is.

I need an audience with my best friend.
I need some time that is just the two of us.
To talk, to chill, to just be.
It's been too long.
I love getting to talk to you on the phone.
Texting is nice enough.
And IMing is really good.
But it's not the same.
Really, I know I can say anything to you. I can tell you anything and talk about anything with you. But I have so much that I just can not convey through any of these other mediums.
School is going well, but I have stories I could tell.
I enjoy my position at the Statesman, but I have frustrations I could talk about.
Simple facets of life have more intricate values than I typically give them via electronic communication.
I don't know the word. I started to type "I can't wait..." But that seems overly anticipatory. Then "I'm anxious..." but that seems to have a slight negative connotation. Let me just say that I will be really glad to see and spend time with you, when that next happens.

I really do like this. and cannot is one word.
I can't wait... seems acceptable to me. Any best friend would truly feel the same on occasion. All of the other ways to communicate do not compare to seeing someone you care about face to face. Guess what? There are times I can't wait to see you because it seems like a long time since we have talked in person. Love you kid!
