I walk into Showplace 12 at around 4:45 today. I go right up to where the tickets are sold and standing there is a middle-aged man. I look straight at him and say "I need you to tell me you still have tickets for the midnight showing of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows." The guy looks back at me and he says "I don't."
Did he just say that? They are out of tickets! Great, now I'm going to have to call the theaters in Mattoon and Robinson to see if either of them still have tickets. Yeah, it's about 45 minutes to either of those locations rather than the 20 it takes to get to Terre Haute, but I am going to see Harry Potter the night it comes out!
Granted all of this goes through my head in a span of about 2 seconds, because without missing a beat the guy says "But I do have some for the midnight o' two show." Ha! You got me, Mr. Ticket Seller! Good one! So, 12:02 it is. One week from this coming Thursday night. I don't know if you can fully understand how excited I am about this. Okay, those of you reading this probably do understand my love for Harry Potter, and not only sympathize but empathize, as well, so you do get it. :)
