The same rules apply to me.

I really liked that song you wrote, I'm saying so here, because I don't feel like I should try talking to you yet because I screwed up last time, so I'm gonna wait.

I had a great time out in Philadelphia. The concert was awesome. The food was good. The drive was long but worth it.

I'm growing every single day. Whether you see it or not.
Whether you see it or not.
I'm growing and I'm learning, and I like myself.

Not as much as I would like, but I am working on it.

I feel like I've got places go and people to see.
Things to do and someone to be.
I feel the only person that I want to be me is me, and
You know, it just so happens that I couldn't be anyone else
Even if I wanted to,
So I better make due,
And more than that I better be happy.
And acknowledge the obvious fact that
Happiness doesn't come from someone else.
It comes from inside.
And I've told this to countless friends.
But I had to recognize
The same rules apply to me.

If you are truely working to be a better You for yourself then I say wonderful. If you are working to be a better You for some One else I say think about it. The way I see it your family and friends love you for You and don't expect you to change to suit them. That is not realistic or honestly fair. Every person has the right to be who they are and as long as they treat others well who are we to judge.
