Prayer

Revitalize my spirit, Spirit of God. Lead me away from being lead astray by the treacherous ways of the world and the misteachings of those who would call themselves leaders under false pretense. Open the eyes of my heart to discern truth and to reject all that does not line up with truth. Work your will through me, and within me make the necessary changes for living a life in pursuit of your heart. Hold me up and allow me to remain strong, even in times of tribulation. Grant me the wisdom to always remember the path beneath my feet, the one you have laid out for me. Give me the courage to continue on even if the path seems uncertain, because you alone see all. May all the works of my hands and all the words of my mouth be a testimony to you and the beauty of your creation. Provide me with the peace I need to love all others, unconditionally. Use me as an instrument of your love; I am only a vessel. All love belongs to you, as does all power and all glory. I would be nothing without you; I would be nothing without all who surround me—those I love and who love me, as well as those who would do wrong to me. For this life is as a great puzzle, one in which every piece is necessary for the continuity of the whole. I thank you for all I have in my life and all of the blessings you continue to pour over me. I pray not that you will always remain with me, for I know you will. I pray only for today, because today is what we are given, and that today you will allow me to bless those with whom I interact, that I may be open to all furthering of the spirit, and that I will recognize it as such. Keep me mindful of you, Oh God, and have your way in my life.
