Well, even after an unintentional all-nighter, I'm making it through my day at a rather productive clip. I'm actually enjoying getting work done. Breakfast really kick-started my day, I think. Even though I didn't sleep I am able to really tackle whatever comes my way. I'm working on my grammar homework, which is already about done. I figured it would take most of my 10 - 11 o'clock block of time, but surprisingly I'm knocking it out rather swiftly. Currently I'm sitting at Jazzman's as per the usual Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between my social work and grammar classes. I really enjoy this hour to myself to reflect or work or read between classes. This cafe area in the college of education is certainly one of my favorite spots on campus to decompress.
I bought myself a new notebook at the bookstore yesterday when I went to purchase "The Bluest Eye" for my multicultural American literature class. It has rather large pages, says "indiana state university" on the front (I kind of like the lower-case aesthetic), and it has a built in folder. I'm actually really proud of this purchase. I use one notebook at a time for both my journaling and note-taking (it's a recent development and it actually works really well for me), and my last notebook was down to about a page and a half. Sadly there are a bunch of blank pages in the middle that got skipped over somehow, but I'll use that for various scratch paper activities such as free writing, or doodling. Semi-mindless creative stimulation sort of things.
This has been a kind of look into the blow by blow of my morning. Breakfast. Happy thoughts inspired by my new notebook. Class. Jazzman's. Blog. That's what I've done to this point. It's a good Wednesday.
