Taking Back (Sunday): The Write Direction

Empty day, you can go away
I've got too much to say
To waste my time with you.
And broken heart, don't  you even start
I will play my part
If you take a permanent reprieve

I know, I know
There's far too much to do
I know, I know
I can't sit around waiting on you

So with still-wet hair and pajama pants
I'll write and direct my life's romance.

Like Arthur's knights under city lights
I will pick my fights
According to what's true
And in regards to the stars
Their radiance will be paled by ours
Because that's how we do

There's nothing left to lose
So I'm changing my views
And I can't do this for you
It's time to make my move
It's time for me to prove
Just what I'm made of

Beyond water and skin
I will take back my life, again.

I like this a lot. It's forceful. How many times, though, must you use this force before you stay there? Push, push, push.

Also. I'd do still-wet. Because I thought you were describing your hair as still.
